This is a very symbolic gift from the city's administration.

For a Haitian movie star to receive such an honor in a city inhabited by hundreds of thousands of Haitians and Haitian-Americans...

This special ceremony will take place at the Stephen P. Clark center, the headquarters building of the Miami-Dade County government, 111 NW 1st Street, Miami, Florida, at 10:30 am, Friday morning.

Jimmy Jean Louis plays the role of "The Haitian" in the popular Television series Heroes.

He is also the founder of "Hollywood Unites for Haiti", a non profit organization whose mission is to promote sports and cultural activities for the underprivileged youth of Haiti.
