Actress Florane Guerrier Dies At 24
Thursday January 21, 2010 12:19 PM ET
Florane Guerrier, a talented young Haitian actress and model, passed away on Tuesday January 12, 2010 - the same day the massive earthquake hit Haiti. She was 24.
Florane Guerrier, best known for the movie drama/romantic Le Prix a Payer, died after a long illness in a Fort Lauderdale hospital, according to James Leger, who describe himself as a close friend.
Her family did not reveal details about her illness, but said it was related to complications from the December 13th incident, James said.
Florane was born in February of 1985. She attended acting school in Haiti at the age of 10 then took an interest in modeling.
Florane made her big splash in the Haitian Movie Industry in 2009’s ‘Le Prix a Payer,’ a Mora Junior Etienne Film, in which she played the character of Tamara. She went on to co-star in popular films like ‘The Forgotten Father‘ with Perry Cassagnol and ‘Reno 911,’ where she played a small part.
This is indeed one of the saddest deaths in the Haitian movie industry. Florane was a wonderful actress and she will be missed greatly. To all her family and friends who knew her our heart goes out to all of you. She will be sorely missed.
RIP Flo!

A personal note from Woodring Saint Preux of Belfim.com
With so many of our Haitian brothers and sisters dying this month of January 2010, with earthquakes and aftershocks ravaging Haiti on a daily basis, with Haitian cities and landmarks being wiped out from the face of the earth by other nature, It is becoming more and more difficult for me to put my words together.
I am trying my best to tell you what is going on but, I have to admit, it is not easy for me.
Le me take this moment to offer my condolences to Florane's family and friends, and to each and everyone of you who lost a family member in the Haiti earthquake disaster.

at silence lamb and milea This is really disturbing, uncomfortable and irritating to read you guys. So you are trying to tell me that her own friends agreed to poisened her. I just hope this is all untrue stories, However, I can understand that she went to the club and overdosed herself but that someone else intentionally drugged or poisened her. I am sorry but for some reasons this can not be processed through my mind right now. Why would a guy pay a female to be with him? did he need a green card or something? if he really did all that why isn't he in jail right now? someone better take this to the cops or something this is serious stuff. The desire of revenge runs deep in all of us. everyone who has ever been wronged has at one time or other felt the urge to strike a counterblow. Some of us do not indulge in this pursuit because we have deemed the cost of getting even too high to justify the benefits gained yet we revel in thoughts of comeusppances doled out by others. Sunch imaginings give us the chance to vicariously experience the joy of retribution, joy we are not likely to experience in real life. Well, this is really sad to say but I hope everyone who is reading these messeges especially haitian femeles who think they got games take this as a lesson learned. Guys money can not buy love it comes naturally. You can not trade money for love also, if you accept money to provide love in return get ready to accept or deal with the consequences. Most of all, do not trust in no one, "Human beings are not to be trusted". "Every crime will bring remorse to the man who committed it" Ms.fulana

If your story is true, I think she shouldn't accepted his money in the first place. Don't get me wrong, there's no excuse for a person to take another person's life. It's not right no matter what she or he did to you. It's a lesson learn to any female out there who takes pleasure to enjoy a man's money when you know for sure, you're only there for the money and not the person. It's wrong no matter what your reason is. You don't know when the table will turn back on you. If you don't love a person, he or she is not your type well then don't love his money. I meet Florane back in 2007 at a movie project in Boyton Beach. She was a happy person, very beautiful and young. We will miss her.
May God bless her soul.
R.I.P Forane Guerrier.

A few guys poisoned that girl . she went to a party with couple of girlfriends, and they poisoned her drink. she didn't have to die like that. she was so young and beautiful. that was so cruel. it all started after Florane accepted $10, 000 from a haitian guy. that man had a huge crush on her he wanted Floran to be his wife. i guess he wasn't her type, she accepted $10, 000 from him, then she kicked him to the curb. i guess he wanted his money back and plotted with some female friends she knew, they put together and poisoned her drink.
