With regard to Michael Brea Told Doctors He Saw The Devil Inside His Mother, I was not close to the family but I know them since the early 1990's. I am speechless.

I wish that Michael gets the help that he needs.

He obviously had a mental disability.

What happened to the rest of the family?

So many things are not clear in this issue.

I wonder as to what purpose Michael got himself a sword?

How long did he have it before this incident?

He must have felt insecure in somehow, because he went as far as getting himself a deadly weapon.

Was he on medication for mental illness?

Or Was he NOT taking his medication.

Was he under a lot of stress?

Those are the questions that we probably will never know. It is too bad that Yanick Brea died the way she did. It must have been terrifying for her. Apparently shortly before her death, she was yelling and crying for help. I don't understand why the neighbors did not call 911 right away. They might have had prevented her death.

In any events, Michael Brea's life will never be the same again.

I hope that the family will seek mental health care as a family to try to put this sordid situation in a perspective frame that the whole family can understand and live with. It will be doubly hard because it happened so close to the year-end holidays.
