Haitian Slaves Movie Nominated For NAACP Image Award

The Price Of Sugar, a movie about Haitians in a modern-day slavery in the Dominican Republic, was nominated for the NAACP image awards in 2008 in the category of Outstanding Documentary (Theatrical and Television).

The Price Of Sugar is a documentary by Father Christopher Hartley narrated by Paul Newman about Haitians living in slave-like conditions in the Dominican Republic. more »
